Catalent RTP, a pharmaceutical testing laboratory division of Catalent Pharma Solutions, was faced with several Voice Of Customer issues, including poor On-Time Delivery. Past attempts at process improvements did not deliver expected results and therefore, sustainability of improvements was short- lived.

Recent customer surveys indicated that, while Catalent RTP was the best 5-10 years ago, they were no longer keeping up with customer expectations. Competitors were moving in and taking away business. Not only was Catalent facing changes in the marketplace, , their processes were generating an enormous amount of waste which led to poor performance and increased cost.

Lean System For Managing (LSFM) is an integration program for organizational mobilization and sustained culture change.
