This Lean Business Simulation© course is an interactive workshop where attendees learn 1) the reason for change, 2) the methods of change and 3) the tools and techniques of change. Attendees get to experience actually running a business. That means they get to identify issues, select the appropriate SCM/lean/six sigma tools or techniques to apply and see the results of their efforts. The session is renowned for its ability to get to the "AHA!" as well as energize and motivate attendees to action.

Robert Burke (CSSBB, CLS, CPIM, BSBA) is executive director of Value Innovation Partners, Ltd. He has over 25 years experience in manufacturing environments, including defense, automotive, pharmaceuticals, packaging goods, electronics, medical device, printed circuit boards, metal converting, railroad and equipment manufacturers.
Bob holds a BS in business administration, is a certified CPIM from the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), is a certified six sigma black belt, is a certified lean sensei, and holds an ISO 9000 assessor certificate.
Bob has co-authored articles published in PharmaChem magazine and one article published in the AME's Target magazine. Bob has presented on many lean topics to the IIE conferences, the AME national conference, the ASQ Quality Expo and APICS.
Larry Bauman
Dr. Larry Bauman (Ph.D., CMC, CLSFM, CLA ) specializes in the service industries, providing leadership development, change management, strategy definition and training. He has over 32 years of experience in business, has worked for domestic and international clients and is currently serving on the Chicago IMC board of directors as president and certified management consultant.
Larry has an AA from Oxford College, a BA from Emory University, a graduate certificate from Texas Tech University and a PhD from Rushmore University. Larry has written numerous articles and four books on strategy and leadership. He is certified and licensed for One Page Planning and Performance SystemTM and Behavioral Assessment Instruments from TTI, Inc. He also serves as a visiting professor and teaches strategic business management at several universities throughout the world.
