Implementing visual management techniques is essential for any lean enterprise. In fact, it's absolutely critical to long-term sustainability. But an effective visual management system needs to do much more than simply post process-related metrics. It needs to drive the daily management of a function or department - for both the manufacturing and non-manufacturing elements. It should also drive continuous improvement. This half-day workshop can help. It will review the key elements of a comprehensive visual management system and provide examples from production, office and service environments. Attendees will also design their own visual management system to take back to their organizations.

Drew Locher

Drew Locher formed Change Management Associates (CMA) in 1990 and is now managing director. Drew received his BSc from the University of Delaware, his MSc from Drexel University and his MBA from Cornell University. He is a faculty member at the Lean Enterprise Institute and an adjunct faculty member at Ohio State University's Fisher School of Business. Drew has authored several books, including the Shingo Prize winning The Complete Lean Enterprise - Value Stream Mapping for Administrative and Office Processes, and Lean Office and Service Simplified: the Definitive How-To Guide.
